Bringing down the wall.

Now I'm lucky as one of my close friends lives in Berlin, giving me a perfect excuse to visit regularly!

Whilst we weren't aiming to hit any tourist spots, a non-functioning S-Bahn meant we had to take a detour along the East Side Gallery. I'd forgotten how amazing it was.

Van Gogh - Eat your heart out!

The artist Van Gogh may have made them famous, but I've always loved a sunflower, and this year I grew some from seed. They are all pigmy varieties as they are mostly in either a small boarder or pots, but that hasn't made them any less impressive!

The land which time forgot...

Or at least for once when I was holiday time seemed to pass me by at a leisurely pace rather than a Usain Bolt sprint!
4ish days of lazing around, eating and drinking in Cinque Terre (with only 1 hike thrown in just to justify all of the gelato!) followed by one last day in Milan taking in the city before heading home to one very grumpy little cat!
